Meet Jayde

Jayde has been a coach working at Squamish Barbell since 2014. She started as a full-time coach and athlete. Jayde spent five years competing in CrossFit. She competed at a world level and became one of the top contenders in Canada during her time on the competition floor.

Prior to discovering CrossFit Jayde grew up participating in a number of sports. She was a Fastball Pitcher, Track and Field Heptathlete, and Volleyball Player. Being a farm kid was the other major roll in her life. When not playing sports she was riding horses, working with cattle, and chasing her oversized trouble making goat ‘Duke’ around the property.

Now as a coach Jayde has developed a passion for working with female youth. She instills confidence and teaches safe movement in a fun motivating way.

Alongside coaching these programs Jayde is also a full-time career firefighter.

She operates with high levels of enthusiasm, and fun facts: she scares easily, and has a tremendous love for cows!

Fitness that Fuels Confidence

Jayde’s Girls is a fitness program created specifically for female youth, helping them build confidence, strength, and a positive relationship with their bodies.

The program explores a variety of fitness domains—such as strength training, stability, metabolic conditioning, injury prevention, functional movement, and play—so participants develop well-rounded skills that support both their physical and personal growth.

Sessions are fun, supportive, and designed with a balance of individual challenges and group collaboration. Along the way, girls experience how movement can boost their mental and emotional well-being.

No prior fitness experience or athletic background is needed—just a willingness to show up, work hard, and grow.

Physical fitness is just one aspect, these programs build confidence that pours over into all areas of the girls lives.

FAQ's

How does the waitlist work?

Registration is made available first to returning participants. Once open to the public registration is first come first serve. If a spot opens up it will be offered to the individuals on the waitlist in chronological order.

You will be notified via email with the opportunity to register for the available spot in the program that you were waitlisted for. This registration spot will be time sensitive before being offered to the next person on the waitlist.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel within one week of your daughter’s program start date, you will receive a 50% refund of the total program cost.

Cancellations made earlier than one week before the start date will receive a full refund minus the service fee.

What if I get injured, may I still continue the program?

Yes absolutely! In fact I strongly encourage participants to continue attending classes when they have an injury. Modifications will be provided for you, and there is always something you can do to stay involved mentally, and physically while working through an injury.

I am happy to work with your practitioners when injuries occur and individual adjustments are needed in class.

I am 12, what group do I register for?

12 year olds will be in Group #1. Once you are 13 years old you may move up into Group #2 if you like.

May I get dropped off early or picked up late?

If the gym is open you are more than welcome to quietly wait upstairs for class to begin. The gym schedule changes daily so I can not guarantee it will be open prior to your class. The same goes for after class. If the gym is open you are more than welcome to wait upstairs to be picked up. However please do not depend on the gym being open in advance or after your program.

What if I miss a class, can I make it up?

No unfortunately not. Class schedules are pre set and make ups are not something that are available.

I have no previous experience, may I still join?

Absolutely! No experience is required and each session will be tailored to your individual abilities and needs. All classes have participants with varying levels of experience and skills.

I am competitive in other sport/s, will this interfere?

Often participants find these programs really benefit the other sports they play. If you have a big competition/game/event close to scheduled class I ask that you speak to me at the beginning of class so we can ensure the right modifications are made to set you up for success. I am always happy to make individual adjustments to best prepare participants for important events.
